Something coming from the University of Toronto keeps making periodic pitstops at my server and only request _vpi.xml like I give a shit about this file.
142.150.4.114 [kahuna.erin.utoronto.ca.] "Firebat 2.5.22" "/_vpi.xml"Looks like a bunch of bullshit to me as I tried to weed through the ramblings about Jabber groupchat protocol since I've never had anything remotely related on my server whichs brings up the million dollar questions, why is this little fucker looking for it?
Dunno what the motives are but they didn't get far, back to class asshole.

Got hit by a request for /_vpi.xml from 121.215.3.196.
Came only msecs after an MSIE 6 from the same IP finished downloading it's page and CSS etc., so it's origin is probably a browser plugin.
The file format for _vpi.xml files are specified here: http://www.virtual-presence.org/notes/VPTN-2.txt (paragraphs 5.1 and 5.2).
In short, the _vpi.xml file lists domain names and paths, along with which chat server plus chat room is relevant for those URLs. Users with compatible clients can then meet other web site visitors in that chat room, under control by the web site operator.
If no _vpi.xml file is found, compatible clients will get a "global" one from virtual-presence.org which supposedly points to their chat server and a dynamically generated chat room name.
