Something calling itself "Harry" has been hitting one of my sites since June '07 and seems to hit for a couple of days, go away a week or two, come back, repeat and rinse as needed.
Here's what Harry TRIED to do today:
203.6.205.34 - "GET /contact.html" 301 "Harry"Did you notice Harry stutters?
203.6.205.34 - "GET /contact.html" 200 "Harry"
203.6.205.34 - "GET / " 301 "Harry"
203.6.205.34 - "GET / " 200 "Harry"
203.6.205.34 - "GET /robots.txt" 301 "Harry"
203.6.205.34 - "GET /robots.txt" 200 "Harry"
That's because he keeps asking for my domain without the WWW so he gets a redirect and then hits the bot blocker head on.
203.6.205.34 [203-6-205-34.reed-elsevier.com.au.]Now that you know Harry is an Aussie the title will make more sense. ;)
Needless to say, I'm NOT just wild about Harry.

Hmmm ... it seems that Harry is a "world leading provider of information driven services and solutions" and the company behind Harry is "a market leader in Australia with its principal activities being the provision of legal, business to business, scientific, educational and professional information".
Can't say that I've ever heard of them but then I don't move in such august circles down here :)
Harry down under is just not very considerate of your partners..errr...the sites you crawl.
